Curtains are vital pieces for decorating and covering your windows. However, with custom made curtains, you can take your windows an extra step further. You can turn them into entertainment or even educative pieces for your children's rooms. You can also theme them with playful designs depending on what your children like. Read on to for some custom curtain ideas for your kids.
If you want an easy way to customize your kids' rooms without adding too many details, think of having your children's curtains woven or printed with their names. This is a great way to personalize their curtains in a custom way. Apart from making it easy to know which curtains go to which room, having names added to your children's curtains will be fun for them too.
If you want to take it a step further, instead of merely having names on the curtains, have your children's images printed on the curtains instead. You can have just one blown up image on each window curtain or you can opt for a collage of different images gathered from their albums. This will not only personalize the curtains, it will be great fun for the kids as they get to see themselves on the fabric every day.
Media character designs
For something less serious and personal, go casual with musical, film, comic book or cartoon characters on your kids' curtains. All you have to do is find out what they'd like and communicate the same to your curtain designer. They will print the same on the curtains and you can delight your children with their favorite characters hanging on their windows every day.
If you don't want o have trivial additions on the curtains in your children's rooms, you can choose to have educational material instead. Depending on the ages of your kids, you can have numbers, letters, charts or even diagrams printed on their curtains. The curtains will therefore double up as important sources of learning in a fun manner.
These are just some of the ideas you can actualize for custom made curtains for your children's rooms. Unlike painted decor on walls, custom made curtains are removable so you can get rid of them when the kids outgrow them. In the meantime, you can also interchange them and get something different as they grow and develop other likes. For even more ideas, talk to your custom curtain tailor or shop.Share

The kitchen is the most used room in my home, and in the past, I found it could get messy and chaotic very quickly. Trying to cook dinner when you can't find an essential appliance or see past the clutter on the counter is no fun. I realised I enjoyed my time in the kitchen more and was more productive when my kitchen was organised and laid out in a way that optimised functionality. I changed my kitchen cleaning and organising routine, decluttered, got rid of appliances I don't use and moved things around to ensure frequently used items were easy to reach. I started this blog to share my tips for creating a kitchen that's enjoyable to use, and I post about ways you can optimise the space you have. I hope you find my posts useful.
